Tashan Technology Completes Series B Financing Worth Hundreds of Millions of Yuan, Building an End-to-End Tactile-Sensing Industry Presence

Beijing Tashan Technology Co., Ltd. ("Tashan Technology"), a Chinese company specializing in end-to-end tactile-sensing technologies, recently announced that it has completed a Series B financing round worth several hundred million yuan.
Investors in this round include strategic and industrial partners Lavender Hill Capital Partners (LHCP), Taiping Innovation, Joyson Electronics, AUX, Pengling Group, and Hongshan Capital. Existing shareholders Dowstone Technology and Binfu Capital also increased their investments. Notably, this is Tashan Technology’s third financing round in nearly six months, and the company has now initiated its Series C fundraising.
As embodied intelligence moves toward commercialization at an accelerating pace, tactile perception has become a core capability enabling robots to sense and manipulate physical objects. It is also one of the principal bottlenecks limiting the industry’s large-scale deployment. The sector generally faces several challenges: insufficient overall performance of tactile sensors; the inability to reuse data across different robotic platforms; and the high cost of training robots to perform fine movements, which remains heavily dependent on manually collected data.
To address these challenges, Tashan Technology is working to establish a complete technology stack spanning chips, sensors, tactile data, algorithms, and training paradigms, with the goal of making tactile perception a generalizable capability for robots.
At the hardware level, the company’s research and development focuses on four foundational performance indicators: robustness, stability, durability, and response speed. To improve robustness, it is expanding beyond laboratory and single indoor-use scenarios into complex outdoor operating conditions and underwater environments, thereby enhancing adaptability across a full range of settings. To improve stability, it is concentrating on measurement consistency. Its sensors are reported to achieve a standard deviation of no more than 0.03 across repeated measurements and a linear-fit coefficient of determination of at least R² = 99.9%, with the aim of providing embodied-intelligence systems with stable, reliable, reproducible, high-quality training data. In terms of durability, the sensors reportedly remain undamaged and operate stably after more than three million grasping tasks and overloads exceeding 1,000 N. Regarding response speed, the company treats temporal resolution as a top priority for product commercialization, aiming to enable tactile systems to respond as quickly as the reflexes of human finger nerves.
For data collection, Tashan Technology is addressing the industry-wide challenge of transferring tactile data across devices. The company has established two dedicated tactile-data centers in Beijing and Hubei, creating a universal training platform compatible with multiple types of humanoid robots, dexterous hands, and robotic grippers. It has also launched the TS-Echo sensing fingertip sleeve, which can collect data without being attached to a robot. This decouples tactile data from a specific device configuration, allowing tactile information collected for any robotic arm or dexterous hand to be transferred across heterogeneous robot bodies or end effectors.
At the training-system level, the company has introduced an innovative “robot kindergarten” model. Drawing on reinforcement-learning theory, it enables robots to independently accumulate hands-on experience through real-world physical interaction rather than relying on manually labeled data.
According to the company, Tashan Technology has established commercial partnerships with more than 180 companies across the industrial chain in China and overseas. Monthly shipments of its tactile sensors have reached tens of thousands of units; order volume in the first half of the year was more than four times the total for the previous year; and its tactile-sensor market share has remained above 80%.
At this year’s World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), the company is also expected to unveil its next-generation tactile-sensing chip and, for the first time, publicly present a deployment solution for factory environments.
